We had to get down to Horlick Dam today to finally get a couple of shots. I have lived here my entire life and have never seen the Root River so high or the water look so powerful or run so fast!..it was really a site to see. People have been jamming the roads around here the past couple of days to check out all of the flooding in the areas where this river has broken through. A lot of families have lost their homes...that is sad to see. Fingers crossed the next couple of days are filled with sunshine.
Reading this and some of my previous posts it seems I talk about the weather almost too much! I will try hard to think of something else to say:) if I say anything at all! lol

An impressive flow of water. This looks so powerful! The weather like flowers and clouds is always unique... I like your "weather' talk! :-)

That is amazing, Amy! I guess we really shouldn't be complaining of the horrid heat (except those who become ill because of it) when I see this water and learn of all those who have lost their homes. Look at all the mud in your shot... you can tell that water is just shoving earth along with it!

thanks for your comment, I needed it, I am embarrassed to admit I sometimes have blog envy but it's all a load of bull really, i think that's why you and I go AWOL and open/close blogs alot cos of all the cr*p that goes on in blogland - my new blog is just gonna be about the house, as that's upper in my mind at the moment and when I fancy it and heyho to it all, the photo things a good idea too..
