We were tickled when our hens gave us our first eggs:) These two blue ones came from our Araucana hen Penny..remember her? shhh don't tell the other hen girls, but Penny was pretty much our favorite hen*...I have always been interested in photography, but living in the cabin I believe, is when that interest really peaked.,,,so we're still strolling down memory lane here at apt.a, see my previous post for reasons why... if you missed it.

Yippeee!! Oh that is so very exciting. Don is watching for ours every day, could be any time now, but more likely in a few weeks. So we have Araucanas almost the same age methinks. Have I sent you to Don's chicken blog yet?

Amy, i do love the look of these eggs..
Aracucanas are not a breed easily to come by her in Australia... I've tried....They are also an expensive chicken when you do find a breeder..

You know, I've always wanted to have some egglaying chicks, but that will never happen as I live in the big city. Enjoy yours and love them well. Love this pic, so fresh, bucolic and downright happy! :O)
